Poor Elijah. He seems to have inherited my seasonal allergies along with his big brother, Joseph. Both boys will begin allergy shots the end of this month. They can hardly wait.

project 365
In keeping with my current Project 365 from Becky Higgins, I decided to keep a blog as well. While I'm sure this seems a bit redundant to some, it actually organizes my pictures and journaling until I'm ready to print my pictures. I upload each daily picture for printing at an online site, which is very simple. I will probably print my pictures once a month. If I wanted to, I could write my journaling in advance and then when I receive the pictures, just insert them into the proper sleeves.

oh my wooord! poor little guy! how did he make out through all of the needles????
these pics of the boys with the wounded backs looks like they've been lashed or something... makes me sad:(
Actually, he was VERY brave. only shed a tear or two. looks a lot worse than it is actually. it's not needles. it's more like a plastic contraption that "walks along the back". It doesn't penetrate deeply. the nurse goes very quickly with the pricking part and then they just have to endure the itchy w/o scratching for 20 min. then the dr. comes in and wipes it off and then sprays them with benadryl. good to go.
it's worth it all to not have to take medicine day after day after day, which you eventually build up resistance to and then have to experiment with other medicines. they begin with shots 2x a week until they reach maintenance and then back off to less frequent shots. as an allergy sufferer myself, it's the best way to go for relief! the shots are painless. they do not inject into the muscle like with vaccines at the dr. only under the skin surface. quick and painless and on their way to seasonal comfort!
Well, I'm glad the process is not as horrible as it appears.
Tell him Aunt Dre's proud of him for being so brave!! (Uncle Mitch made it sound like chinese torture when he had it done! but shhh, don't tell him I told you that;)

hahahaha!!!! you're too funny lisa! poor thing so sorry he had to go through that. aaron had to do the same thing but thankfully just on his arm last year...the nurse said he had the worst histamine response she's ever seen!
