This barn has been on the verge of tumbling ever since we moved here. However, every storm that blew and howled it remained standing. Until Hurricane Ida, that is. We've had stormy weather for days and sure enough the old barn gave in and came a tumblin' down. I knew the boys would be excited to see it! All day I wondered if they would notice it on their bus ride home from school. Sure enough, they burst through the front door today after school screaming, "Mom! Mom! The barn fell! The barn fell!! Can you believe it?!" I guess northern born boys are more excited about barn "tumblings" as opposed to barn raisings.

where is this barn?
it's behind our place. on the road leading into our subdivision. by the farmer's house. behind us. donkeys. remember?
an epic moment! so glad you got a photo... so when boys are all grown up this will be a part of their memories!!
kevin was as quick to tell me as your boys were to you. he's been saying for nealry 5 yrs now, "about to fall any day, any day now." my response is always a, "yeah, yeah, yeah, you've been saying that for 4 + yrs." so you can imagine my face when it really came down.
