Answered prayer! We have been uninsured for a couple of years now, bathing our family in prayer asking God to protect and keep us all safe. He has been faithful. On a recent visit to the doctor for Elijah's well check exam, Dr. Hamp declared a new title for our family: "The Once A Year Shays". Honestly, the boys have only ever been for the yearly exams! I recently applied for Medicaid through the state of NC. Here's documentation of their approval for the boys! God is so good.

Haha, was wondering where you went...still reading your site. enjoying the pictures. that's really sweet - that the boys get to go with your husband to work. what does he do? things are well here, just that i'm at the stage where more and more my heart wants to leave this job & do something totally different like write and be creative but i don't have the skills/training so no go for now. Anyway, am very grateful i even have this job. we whinge about not having long enough holidays but others are sad because they have such long breaks without a secure job to return to and all the while it's a lesson of faith to not be anxious and to just keep believing and applying for work. so i am not going to complain :)

Shawn is a painter. the economy has taken a nose dive here. to purchase health ins. for ourselves is a small fortune.
i think you should pray about God showing you add'l ways to use your writing gift for the kingdom. you just never know...

hey jos, don't mind Mr. Anonymous...he's just my punk nephew. he happens to be my favorite nephew. my big sis's eldest. he lives in Los Angeles, CA and as a result gets grumpy sometimes from all the crazies out there. pay him no never mind ya hear?
